Connect one multimeter test lead to a ground on the engine (preferably near the glow plug). Connect the other lead to the (power supply) terminal on the top of the glow plug. Read the result off the multimeter display. Note that a resistance of less than 6Ω usually means the glow plug is ‘good’. Turn off the glow plugs.

Exactly what i was going to say - as the load increases (due to the resistance of the glow pugs) the voltage will drop, 10.5v going to the glow plugs may be quite normal, under load, the battery may not be 100%, with a newer, or more Terminals marked 85 and 86 are for the coil. Terminals marked 30 and 87 are the switched contacts. Sometimes the pin out is moulded into the top cover. It's a high current relay, so not a standard size or capacity. Quotes are for £15/plug to £240/plug. Seems there are lots of "plugs" but does anyone know what plugs the Tigs actually use. Cheers. SOLD - SEL, 190PS, DSG, 4Motion, Indium Grey
If you are trying to prove the glow plug relay is faulty or not the simple test would be to use a 12-volt test lamp with one connection to battery earth (negative) then operate the ignition switch and you should have power at each glow plug – If not suggest you change the relay. 2011 ES 2.2 iDTEC.

My question is on the relay there are two large leads and two small leads. One of the large leads goes back to the glow plugs and the other to an unknown destination (I assume a 12volt source).
