honda shadow 750 vs harley sportster 883. now I'm helping my buddy get his bike on the road, and we got into an argument of "who's faster". He's got a stock '85 750cc honda shadow, and I have a 2009 harley davidson 883cc sportster, with intanke, good exhaust (a 2-1 with a larger higher flow muffler as opposed to typical harley 2-2 noisemakers
Honda ticks each of those boxes with the Shadow Phantom plus, it is far lighter than its American peers, the 745cc engine is renowned for its reliability, and the bike is smooth. Buttery smooth power delivery, silky smooth gear changes, and from heels to hands hardly a negative vibration is felt. The Shadow Phantom is longer and lower than many
Good starter bike. My wife is 5 feet even and she likes the 500. She finds the new 750's too wide at the tank. Ask if you can get the bike looked over by a mechanic. Having an old bike can be alot of work and if you dont have anyone to work on it for you a newer bike may be a better choice. The bikes already stated by torontoboy are good
But for your size, the 950 will be the better choice. Similar power to the 1100, which definitely comes in handy. The 650 and 750 are awesome bikes, but im 5'8 and cramped slightly on the 650. The 750 (ACE) is better with wide bars, but could benefit from forward controls. Sent from Motorcycle.com Free App.
blupupher. yup, it is a light check so you know the light works. It stays on till the oil pressure sensor reads enough pressure, and with the engine not running, it will be on with key on. It is also why it stays on for a second or so when starting since it takes a moment for pressure to build up. Only bad if you have the light on and bike is
The Honda Shadow 750 is recommended as a good starting bike, how much different is the Intruder? This site recommends starting with 600cc or less, so I’m also thinking of starting with a Vulcan or Honda shadow 500, then when I retire in a few years going to a larger bike – I’m looking mainly for highway cruising. So, the questions are:
Q: Is Honda Shadow a good beginner bike? Like most cruisers, the seat height on the Shadow Aero is low, the power is manageable, and the rider triangle is relaxed. These characteristics make it
The Honda Shadow 750 is a good starter bike because it’s lightweight and easy to handle. It’s also a great choice for beginners because it’s affordable and reliable. Some of the other features that make it a great starter bike include its comfortable seat and low seat height which make it easy to reach the ground.
750 vs 883. Both bikes have advantages and disadvantages. The Honda is less expensive to begin with and has plenty of aftermarket goodies available. The Harley can be upgraded to a 1200cc bike pretty easily and has plenty of aftermarket parts available.

The Vulcan 900s have almost 50 hp and 58 lb/ft of torque. My Ninja 500 has 55 hp and 30 lb/ft of torque. Those cruisers are pretty weak and mild, you will only have problems maneuvering them at parking lot speeds (like almost all motorcycles anyway!). 1.
Was highly considering a Shadow, since I've heard great things about them, and I know that at least Honda's cars are the AK-47's of automobile reliability and durability. Are Shadows a good starter bike for someone that just wants to cruise, and learn about basic motorcycle repair in the process?
Born out of the old 250 Rebels, which are still good beginner bikes and cheap if you can find a decent one, you can get A Honda Shadow 600 for anywhere from $500 to $4000. The latter is
Via: Return of the Cafe Racers. The Honda CB750 evolved over time. The K1 took on cosmetic changes with a different palette of colors. The K2 was sporting different color options, modified rear shocks, among other minor changes. 1973 saw the side reflectors and taillight enlarged from earlier models.
The Spirit of 750. The Honda Shadow was introduced in 1983 with two options. a good look that represents a more modern appeal. Check out more new bikes in Rider‘s 2024 Motorcycle Buyers
